One of the best ways to learn a product is to try and sell it with your sales team. As a sales engineer for years, it forced me to take a look at all aspects of the products I’ve represented. I’ve spent years in the field, giving presentations and answering difficult questions. Being in the technology world of both software and hardware (IoT devices), the learning curve can be high. During my career, I’ve found that a very simple approach, using the KISS principle, can work well. However, there are times where a sales engineer has to dig in deep to find answers.
